Temporary Job Opportunities

Human Resources-Newark offers a placement service to those applicants seeking part-time or full-time work on a temporary basis. We are looking for experienced individuals interested in support positions here on the campus.  Resumes will be placed in a job bank and will be considered for review based on the requesting hiring department's requirements, as positions become available.  In general, applicants should have demonstrated computer proficiency in word processing, databases and spreadsheets, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good telephone skills, and professionalism.  Salaries for these positions will be established by the requesting hiring department based on skills required. 

Retirees, individuals re-entering the workforce, students, and graduates are all welcome to apply.

Summer and Part-time Employment for Students

Rutgers University students may review part-time and summer employment options on the Student Employment website.

University policy prohibits summer employees who are a family or household member of a regularly appointed faculty or staff member from working in the same department as the regularly appointed faculty or staff member.

Students under the age of 16 must obtain working papers from their school guidance counselor.
