DESCRIPTION:SafeZone is an educational program committed to increasing understanding and awareness around how to foster an inclusive and welcoming climate for the LGBTQ (Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, Queer and Questioning) community. \nMAJOR TOPICS \n\nEncourage active Allyship\nIncrease knowledge about LGBTQ and intersectional history\nIncrease comfort level with the LGBTQ community and speaking out against homophobic language\, biased incidents against LGBTQ community\nBe able to identify and respond to behavior and language that is offensive and exclusionary to the LGBTQ community\nIncrease overall awareness and understanding of LGBTQ issues to promote a greater sense of safety at Rutgers community\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND\nSafeZone is open for all Faculty/Staff. \nThe first section is an introduction to the LGBTQ community and current events.
