Communicators Certificate Program

Understanding of Rutgers mission, values, vision; understanding of university policies and procedures; knowledge of Rutgers University identity system; familiarity with Rutgers templates and other resources; ability to identify key university constituencies, etc. All faculty and staff (specifically new employees) are invited to enroll in the Rutgers Communicator Certificate training classes offered by University Communications and Marketing (UCM)
- RPE901-Understanding the Rutgers University Brand & Identity – During the three-hour classroom session, participants will learn how to properly use the new Rutgers University identity system. This workshop will focus on the importance of branding and a systematic approach for the proper use of the university identity, as well as on how to more effectively tell the Rutgers story.
- RPE902-Communication Policies, Guidelines, and Resources – During the three-hour classroom session participants will receive an introduction to the many policies, procedures, and guidelines that guide communications and marketing efforts. This workshop will focus on standards that guide web design, filming and photography, advertising, copyrights, and purchasing, as well as resources for finding detailed information about these and other communication related issues.
