Prudential ABP & NJSEDCP Advisement

The Alternate Benefit Program (ABP) is a tax-sheltered, defined contribution retirement program for certain higher education faculty, instructors and administrators. ABP provides retirement benefits, life insurance and disability coverage, which, when combined with Social Security and other tax-deferred plans, can provide security in retirement.
The New Jersey State Employees Deferred Compensation Plan (NJSEDCP) is a governmental 457(b) defined contribution retirement plan that allows for voluntary tax-sheltered contributions by all state employees, up to an annual contribution limit set by the Internal Revenue Service that is separate from the university 403(b) plan.
